We were recently sent a set of Hockey Guys to try out. This realistic Hockey set came with its own rink walls, a mat resembling “ice”, realistic hockey guys, and puck. We simply slid together the rink walls, laid down the mat that looks like the ice, set up the hockey guys, goals, and puck and let our imaginations run wild in our hockey rink. Because there are no directions or set of rules and because your child can move the guys wherever and whenever they want this toy is can be played with in countless ways. And we love the fact that this toy is powered by your child’s creativity rather than batteries. Each kit includes everything your child needs to sit down and play independently with these hockey guys. Of course they can play along with someone else too.
We were impressed with this set because the hockey guys are actually posed to play specific positions. Both teams don different color jerseys and there is even a referee, making for a very realistic and fun hockey play set. My son and I spent the afternoon squaring off, “sliding” the guys around the “ice”, making goals, and we even reenacted a skirmish on the ice, where after it was done, we sent our player to our “make-believe” penalty box for a time out.
