Review & Giveaway: Kinder Glo Fun Safe Portable NightLights from Blue Moon Lites!

I was recently sent a couple of Kinder Glo Nightlights from Blue Moon Lites to try out for my boys. Before their arrival, and going by the information from the website alone, I was unsure as to how this product was going to deliver. Expecting just another possible mediocre children’s gadget, I wondered if my boys would care a less about the Kinder Glo nightlights, or if they would cast them aside while they played with the box and bubble wrap as they have done so many times before when products have not delivered as promised. Boy was I wrong!!!! My sons (ages 5 and 2) love their new Kinder Glo nightlights and have used them everyday since they arrived!
Before I could even get the night lights out of the box, turned on, and onto their bases to start them charging, I had what seemed like a 100 little hands reaching and grabbing to see what these newly acquired items were. Right off the bat, the Tyrannosaurus and Brontosaurus designs appealed to both my boys…who were first convinced they were some sort of toy rather than a light. (Luckily, Kinder Glo Nightlights were designed with kids in mind because these lights are made of durable plastic, stay cool to the touch and are portable so that they can be played with like toys).
When I finally managed to take the lights away, turn them on, and set them on their base, the light show began and so did the ohhs and ahhs. My boys now fascinated by what they were seeing, were already talking about how they were going to take their new little dinosaur friends to bed with them.Thankfully, the lights were somewhat charged right out of the box because they could not wait to take them off their rechargeable bases and play with their now glowing and color changing dinosaurs. Kinder Glo nightlights make great daytime pals as well as comforting nighttime friends, and as most moms do, I love products that multi-function.
At bedtime, both my boys took their new nightlight friends to their beds, watching the soothing light show as they drifted off to sleep.
Some features of Kinder Glo Fun Safe Portable NightLights:
Fun- because they are made of soft and durable plastic and can be played with making great daytime pals
Safe-because they stay cool and never get hot and can be kept in your child’s bed during the night
Portable- because they are rechargeable and still light up even off the base
They also have different color settings (red, green, and blue or a multi-colored sequence) and 30 minute or all night time settings that can be easily changed with a push of a button to create a soothing nighttime pal.
What this Mommy liked:I like that this product is unique-until now I hadn't seen anything like it. I also like that that these lights are safe and stay cool. What I liked most of all was that my children were happy with them; and of course anything that makes my children happy makes this mommy happy!
What the boys liked:
They loved the dinosaur designs and that they could play with these lights and carry them around, making for a fun time! They also liked the color changing light show and that these could be used similarly like flashlights on their nighttime trek to the potty, etc.
What this mommy didn't like:
The product is great, no complaints about it. My only wish is that they had more choices besides the three currently available. However, I am told there are new Kinder Glo characters are on the way! (Be sure to leave your comments below as to what characters you would love to see.)

I've actually been looking for something like this for my toddler. I think she would like any of the designs, but I think I like the owl the best. Other designs she would like would be more animals, like a cat, dog, elephant, or bear.

This is just what I've been looking for! My 2 year old says, "no really dark" at night now. I would probably choose the Brontosaurus for him. Other future characters...perhaps a giraffe b/c it would be easy for a little one to carry by the neck?

I think my nephews would love the brontosaurus. As far as new designs, I know they'd love a car (they're hooked on Lightning McQueen!) or a Train (Thomas is a favorite). The youngest would like a horse or a lamb, too.

I love the owl! So adorable. This is a clever idea. IKEA actually carries some rechargeable little glowing guys like these but they are little cutie monsters!
You should definitely check them out. I think that they should definitely do a hippo or a giraffe, that would be so cute!

I would LOVE the owl for my two-year old son. He has a nature themed room, is just getting ready to move into a "big boy" bed and is a little fearful of the dark.

I love,love,love the owl! I would use this in my 8 yr old daughter's room or in my 3 yr old son's. It would also be a great alternative to the bathroom light being on all night. :) I would love to see a snail added to the line up too!

My favorite is the owl! We've been needing a nightlight like this for my daughter who's been scared at night since we moved into our new place.

I'd choose the KinderGlo Owl and would like to see some other "animals", like a kitty, a duck or a butterfly. Seems like anything could be made into a KinderGlo. These are very clever and I'm sure all little ones would enjoy them.

My son would love the owl Kinder Glo because he makes the "who, who" sound like an owl (he's learning his animals!). I would recommend an addition to the line up of a fish. Or even an addition of a train would be cute.

i would love the dinosaur because my 2 1/2 year old loves them and would probably like to go to sleep in his room again. he doesn't care for the dark and regular nightlights don't seem to work.

The Brontosaur for my little ones.. Another design would be a butterfly... I think the wings would be easy to hold and with the different colors a butterfly would be perfect plus it's more girl than dinos..

My dino loving boy would be thrilled with either dino, but I'd probably choose the T-Rex 'cause it is extra cute. If I were to create another creature I'd create a cow, my son's other favorite animal.
