For Kids Who Want a “Pet” without the Mess: Tamagotchi Connection V5 giveaway! Now Closed Winner Announced Soon!

8:42 PM Posted by Centsible Mommy

Don’t know what Tamagotchi Connection V5 by Bandai is? Don’t worry up until a few weeks ago, I did not either; or maybe, your children have had all the other versions already, but haven’t tried out of the new and improved Tamagotchi Connection V5.

Here’s some info about the new and improved Tamagotchi V5:

“Tamagotchi® Connection® V5 – The world’s first and top-selling "virtual pet" toy brand debuts a dynamic new Tamagotchi like never before: Tamagotchi Connection Familitchi with new celebrity characters. Taking the Tamagotchi experience to new heights, Familitchi features more families for more fun! Familitchi lets kids raise multiple Tamagotchi characters at the same time in one egg-shaped toy. How kids care for their Tamagotchi family and raise siblings with differing personalities, tastes and hobbies will determine whether the clan will grow up as a celebrity, athlete, model, paparazzi or even a royal family. Once a Tamagotchi character reaches adulthood, it can then connect with a compatible friend and create successive generations to care for so the fun never ends.

Tamagotchi Connection V5 continues to offer all the fan favorites that have made it the consistently top-selling and award-winning toy that it is today. These include the popular infrared technology, Gotchi Points, shopping and the new Tama & Earth Expo Web site. Kids can travel to different parts of the world including the Japanese, North American, European and Asia/Oceana Pavilions. Kids will enjoy the Ecology Pavilion where they can learn about ways to save the planet and the Gotchi Amusement Park where they can play games and have fun. While using Gotchi Points and special passwords, kids can go online to shop, grab a bite to eat, get a new job and buy some cool clothes. New games and other activities are also available online for even more fun, codes and collectible souvenirs.”

I was recently sent a Tamagotchi Connection V5 for my kids and I to try out and I have to tell you this is one fun toy! My kids are actually too young for it as they are ages 1 and 4, so I was the one who ended up playing with it the most; and as embarrassing as this sounds I had a blast with the Tamagotchi Connection V5 and could hardly put it down.

For those of you who know nothing about Tamagotchi, as I did not, Tamagotchi Connection V5 is an electronic gaming device that is actually small enough to carry on a key chain, a zipper pull on a backpack or even a belt loop. Although it looks small, its contents are anything but. Once you power it up, you will be amazed at the virtual “world” you will find inside.

Tamagotchi V5 allows your children to raise a “virtual pet” family of Tamas, who live in a tiny virtual world that you help control. The Tama family, that you assign a family name, starts as eggs and then some time later they hatch into little bitty Tama characters, that have to have to be fed, cleaned up after, played with, entertained, helped to meet new friends and form relationships, given money to shop, and so much more. Your Tama pets alert you with sounds when they are hungry or need something. You can imagine my surprise when I awoke one morning to find that they had matured! Oh boy, I was a proud Tama’s Mama! The Tamas can grow up to be athletes, models, paparazzi, or even royalty depending on how your kids raise them!

For more information about Bandai’s Tamagotchi Connection V5, visit http://www.tamagotchi.com/ to find more information about the Tamagotchi Connection V5, meet the cast of Tama characters, download the instructions, connect with others who play Tamagotchi V5 or for fun downloads.

Note: This game is recommended for ages 8 and up, although I can see some slightly younger children who are able to play video games handling this toy well also.

Savings: Use this coupon get two Bandai toys for the price of one! You can get a cool PLUSH when you buy any Tamagotchi Connection V5 with this downloadable coupon here.

My son would enjoy this. He is obsessed with Webkinz, and this is a somewhat similar concept. There's things to do online, as well as trying to take care of and raise something virtual.

My daughter would love that she can raise more than one at the same time. She has a couple of different ones and gets frustrated trying to keep them all from "dying". It would be much easier if they were all in one unit. She gets her older sister to babysit them if she is going to spend the night with someone. She loves being able to care for them and I love that they don't leave a mess :)

I have 3 young children and my son is old enough to use these. What he would love most about the V5 products is the animation and the bright colors and fun characters. I tried to click on a couple of the games but it froze my computer up so I couldn't read about what each individual game offered in terms of entertainment, but my son loves to use this hands and I think these games are great for hand and eye coordination and of course the entertainment factor so I most definitely would love to win this for my son!
