Day 7: Wiggle Giggle Learn Giveaway!
1:24 PM Posted by Centsible Mommy
Wiggle Giggle Learn was created by Tracey Stuckey, a National Board Certified teacher, who taught kindergarten for 15 years. Tracey (you’ll be reading a bit from her in just a moment) compiled a few month's sample specifically for my children. By specific, I mean it was broken down to the very month of their age...for example 3 years 9 months. The sample I received contained weekly activity plans, preschool project plans, family field trips, nursery rhyme activities, and more!
As a parent, I am so excited to have such great resources in my grasp to help me essentially prepare my children for their future in education. The learning plans are not at all time consuming, just load it up on your computer, and follow the outlined plans from there. With just a little bit of time each day, you will be teaching your child(ren) essential skills vital to their educational future, both social and academic. Not only do the learning plans help you teach your child, but enable you to spend quality time with your child as well, which I feel is very important.
Here's a bit from Tracey:
“ I am a National Board Certified teacher (the highest certification a teacher can earn – much like board certified physicians, lawyers and accountants) who has taught kindergarten for 15 years. I continue to work with teachers through facilitating workshops on accelerated learning, developing instruction for the 21st century and developmentally appropriate practice for pre-k through high school teachers. My twin sister Stacey, the entrepreneur and business mind of the family, encouraged me to share my talents and knowledge with more parents by starting Wiggle Giggle Learn.
Wiggle Giggle Learn’s mission is to advance the intellectual and social abilities of all children by empowering parents with the knowledge and tools necessary for teaching their children to learn to flourish from birth… and to work in our communities to promote learning as we seek to improve education. The passage of the No Child Left Behind Law left states’ scrambling to increase the rigor of their academic standards. This affects pre-k and kindergarten by pushing curriculum down that once belonged exclusively in first grade. Children are reading and writing paragraphs at the end of kindergarten in many states today. Parents are shocked at what their children must learn in only 180 days in kindergarten.
As a master teacher, I know that the right preparation and home learning environment from birth will make the transition into this academic kindergarten less traumatic and schools will be able to teach at a higher level when students come prepared. It is for this reason that I wrote the Wiggle Giggle Learn program that consists of weekly activity plans from birth to age four. When a child turns four, our project plans help the little one engage in deeper critical thinking, problem solving and vocabulary-based studies. "
Wiggle Giggle Learn offers samples for you to try out try out for each age category. Take the opportunity to try these with your child and you will be able to see firsthand what a valuable resource Wiggle Giggle Learn will be for you and your child. They also have great resource center that all parents of children 5 and under should utilize.
And guess what? Wiggle Giggle Learn is also offering my readers a savings of 25% off their packages . Use code “learn” at checkout!

I have an overactive child and many times I am at a loss as to how to occupy his time. This looks like it has some great ideas and will help us structure our day better.
October 12, 2008 at 6:06 PM
I have a child that needs pretty much constant stimulation, I quickly run out of ideas and then we do things that probably aren't the best for learning, I would love ideas to fill that time and are still educational :D

I love it! Everything about it. I love that it uses everyday materials to help educate in a fun way. I only wish that I was creative enough to have come up with it on my own. My children love to learn and I love to find new ways to engage them. I think this would be fun and educational for all of us.

I'm a first time parent, and I was an only child and didn't grow up around cousins or anything, so before my daughter was born I probably spent about an hour in my entire life around babies. It might seem "easy" to occupy a 5 month old's time, but it's really an undertaking for me. I have no idea whether what I'm doing is suitable for her...if it's too advanced and I'm completely losing her, or if she's gotten the concept and now I'm just boring her. It would so helpful to have this stuff around as a guide for this very clueless mommy.

Wow, their program looks great! We are due with our first in January, and I feel *slightly* overwhelmed. I'd love to have some pointers on ways to interact, and learn with the baby in a fun way. It would also be great to get a program like this now, as we can then reuse it for our next child. Thanks so much!

My two oldest are in school now and I'm left with a 2 1/2 year old at home all day. I love being with her to do things but for some reason, I feel at a loss for what to do. I was so good with my first 2, doing things with them. This would be a great encouraging tool for me.

My younger son is autistic, and desperately (that's actually ALL of us here) needs an extremely structured learning environment. We have several different measures of just where on the developmental curves he currently is, but going through these planned sequences with him should be quite informative too. Very useful!!

I have an almost 4 month old. I would love to have this for her. I think it would give her a great head start and foundation. I also think it would be a great way for us to spend time together and bond.

This looks like an amazing program. I have never seen it before today but my daughter will be 3 years old in less than a month and she's extreamly smart and picks things up quickly. I myself am a bit unsure on how to tap into her full potential and find age appropriate learning activities for her. I also have an 8 month old son who could benefit from this.

What I like is that you have so many choices!
